Abstract
Orchidaceae is a large family of higher plants.
Endophytic microorganisms in Orchidaceae are a crucial component of the plant microecosystem.
This study focuses on the isolation and identification of endophytic microorganisms from Cymbidium in Meizhou and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, and Chengdu in Sichuan Province, China.
The study analyzed the diversity and specificity relationships between the orchids and their endophytes.
The results indicated that 13 strains of endophytic microorganisms were isolated from Cymbidium from different locations.
The identified endophytes belonged to 3 phyla, 5 classes, 5 orders, 6 families, and 6 genera.
The endophytic diversity in Chengdu’s Cymbidium was higher than that in Meizhou and Guangzhou. Paraburkholderia was the common genus found in endophytes from all three locations.
Fusarium species were only isolated from Cymbidium in Meizhou, Guangdong.
