Abstract
The mechanization and digitalization of litchi and longan cultivation can significantly reduce the labor intensity in orchard management, lower labor costs, and thereby improve overall production efficiency.
This article examines the production processes of litchi and longan, reviewing the development and current research status of key agricultural technologies, including monitoring equipment, water and fertilizer management systems, pruning machinery, pest and disease control tools, weed management solutions, flower and fruit management devices. harvesting and transportation equipment, and intelligent control systems.
The discussion highlights how emerging technologies – such as machine vision, deep learning, the internet of things (IoT), satellite positioning, multispectral cameras, LiDAR, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and advanced sensors – are driving the mechanization and digitalization of the litchi and longan industry.
