Abstract
The present study examines the impact of litchi growers’ professionalization on agricultural green development using survey data collected from 2019 to 2020. The construction of probit models was carried out to analyze the data.
The findings indicate that increased professionalism significantly enhances growers’ inclination toward green agriculture, particularly among those with lower than expected income, a high reliance on litchi for income, and a high level of specialization.
Furthermore, the mediating factors of learning opportunity cost and reference dependence play a significant role in the relationship between growers’ professionalization and the effect on green agricultural development.
Therefore, enhancing the professionalism of litchi growers, reducing the opportunity cost associated with learning when adopting agricultural green development technologies, and improving income expectations can be shown to be an effective promotional strategy for the advancement of agricultural green development.
