Abstract
The object of the present study was to establish the potentials for using the pesticides furadan 5G, dursban 5G, hozdon 4G, temik 5G, and thimet 5G for controlling the complex of potato pests, as well as to study the effect of these preparations on the health state, fractional composition, and average yield of the planting material and on some bio-physiological processes.

On the basis of the investigation made it was established that the preparations furadan 5G, thimet 5G, and temik 5G manifest a high biological effect on the Colorado beetle, leaf aphids and wireworms in potato fields, and increase the yield of the crop.
The preparation hozdon 4G manifests a negative insecticidal effect on the pests pointed above, decreases the yield and induces undesirable changes in the potato fractional composition.
