Abstract
In Sicily a wide range of vegetable crop cultivations is restricted in greenhouse.
The peculiar climate conditions and the remarkable changes of temperature emphasized by the use of polyethylene cover without any kind of air conditioning, the highly increased density of cultures and their repeating on the same soil have a marked effect on the building up of the diseases.
So that many problems appear related to this particular environment.
To reduce infections and increase greenhouse yield many integrated control systems, that include the use of chemicals, resistant cultivars, physical methods and possibly biological agents, are necessary.
