Abstract
The Italian Institute for Plastics, through the A.M.P.A. (National Centre for Plastic Development in Agriculture), resolves to achieve the main goal, that is the development of the sector, with the promotion of the manufactures made of plastic material "qualified" by the I.I.P. trade-mark.

This work wants to deal with the characteristics of the manufactures for sheltered cultivations, to give a constant information about the results of the research on an operative level.

Thus the changeability of the applications and of the background situations, will be able to suggest the choice of the manufactures more suitable to their necessity, to the farm-operator.

The revision of the rule established the improvement of the transparency and of the mechanic characteristics of the FILM in PE/PVC/EVA and also their efficiency in operation either for one season or for 2 months.

Meanwhile, the film EVA, with vinyl acetate from 10 to 18% and their respective "glasshouse effect" with reference to the thicknesses have been considered.

The calorific value is calculated in relation to the total termic capacity (Kt) of the several films, both single and with double wall, and also for the slabs.

With reference to the rigid slabs in PVC/PC/PRFV, we examined the aspect of termic capacity, and above all their "efficiency" in operation during the time.

The slabs in PMMA are those which gave the better results.
