Abstract
The Bulgarian species of Chamaecytisus Link and Genista L. have been investigated for quinolizidine alkaloids.
A correlation was found between morphologic characters and the oxidation level of the alkaloids in different species.
A revised systematic order in the genera is proposed on the basis of these data.
