Abstract
Acacia is an Australian genus, containing species with unique vegetative appearance and spectacular yellow inflorescences, which has seen limited development.
A potted winter flowering Acacia plant suitable for northern hemisphere use would add variety to the nursery industry.
The intention is to produce a schedule of cultural methods for nursery production of potted flowering acacias, including use of environmental and chemical control of plant size and flowering.
Progress in achieving this aim is described.
