Abstract
An experimental trial was conducted to study the response of potato crop to drip irrigation system in comparison with blocked furrows.
It was a randomized complete block design with 3 replications.
During the trial we have applied 400 mm of irrigation water for each treatment and we have determined the number of stems and tubers and the yield per plant.
The statistical analysis of results shows that there is no differences for the number of stems per plant but there are significant differences for the number of tubers and total yield per plant in favor of drip irrigation system (1.16 kg/plant for drip irrigation and 0.836 kg/plant for furrows).
