Abstract
Hybridization were carried out between Platanus orientalis trees and clones of P. occidentalis tolerant to Ceratocystis fimbriata. An improved screening test was performed in Spring 1997 on a thousand of the 2-year-old hybrids obtained.
High variability was noted and 80% of the plants died.
The surviving trees will be further tested and classified.
