Abstract
The urban soil compaction is due to various causes: nature of constituents, placing the earth, heavy vehicle crossing.
This high compaction is a stress factor, responsible for a bad tree growth and can sometimes induce their disappearing.
In case of planting already established, few resources exist to realize the loosening, for example the loosening with a lance-injector.
This high compaction is a stress factor, responsible for a bad tree growth and can sometimes induce their disappearing.
In case of planting already established, few resources exist to realize the loosening, for example the loosening with a lance-injector.
This communication reports results obtained in different types of soils, by varying the following factors:
- water and air pressure injected by the lance-injector
- the distance of intervention points
- soil moisture
The control methods of loosening effects on the soil were as follows: macroscopic description of vertical profile with intervention point; measurements of soil bulk densities by densitometry and gammadensitometry; laboratory tests (Proctor, Atterberg, small aggregate densities), soil physic and chemical analysis.
It made it possible to appreciate the decompaction range in function of the studied factors and to have relations with the macroscopic visual observations and measured parameters.
