AN IN VITRO TECHNIQUE FOR THE VEGETATIVE MULTIPLICATION OF CHIMAERAL PLANTS OF DRACAENA AND CORDYLINE

Plants of chimaeral cultivarsof Dracaena deremensis, D. fragrans and from Cordyline stricta tricolor were established in aseptic cultures from one-bud-explants and from stem pieces.
Axillary buds proliferated in presence of a cytokinin.

The results of these preliminary trials indicate that it should be possible to establish a continuous system of micropropagation.
