Abstract
The evaluation of the new apple rootstock Pure 1 in the orchard began in 1996. The results in the orchard show that rootstocks Pure 1 and B 9 have a similar influence on tree vegetative growth and yields.
In the sixth year after planting, a slight influence of the growing system on the vegetative growth is reported.
The planting system has no influence on the inflorescence formation in the 6th year after planting.
A significant difference is reported for the amount of inflorescences per orchard area unit, determined by the tree number per unit of area.
