Abstract
It was found that benzyladenine /BA/ applied with lanolin paste around the basal plate of dormant tulip bulbs at conc. of 0.25, 0.1 and 0.05% at the beginning of July caused the formation of parrot-like flowers in non-parrot tulip cultivars.
Developed flowers of parrot tulip cultivars treated with BA were more parrot in their habit.
