Abstract
Unreduced pollengrains have been produced by the method of bulb treatment with nitrous oxide.
Chromosome counts in pollen tubes were carried out for a number of cultivars.

The pollengrain produced had a variable percentage of unreduced chromosomes and were used to pollinate diploid cultivars.
The hybrids were not analysed for ploidy, but a general analysis of the characters of the seed plants was carried out and the results will be shown.
