Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the effect natural air temperature on alkaloidal status of H. muticus L. seeds were sown in succesive months of the year, where the average monthly maximum and /minimum/ air temperature /in °C/ were 32.8 /19.6/, 30.2 /15.8/, 25.2 /11.8/, 19.7 /6.9/, 19.6 /5.4/, 22.5 /8.4/, 23.0 /8.3/ and 27.5 /12.9/ for Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., Mar., and April respectively.
The distribution and accumulation of hyoscyamine, hyoscine and total alkaloids /mg/g/ in the leaves, stems roots and flowering buds, flowers and fruits were determined during different developmental stages.
