Abstract
Asperuloside, having a slight laxative effect, is a widely distributed iridoid-type monoterpene glycoside in the Galium and Asperula etc. genera of the Rubiaceae family.
Variations in the production of Galium verum L. as a model plant was studied during the vegetation period.
The highest production can be expected at full flowering stage of development.
This is mainly due to the high iridoid content of the inflorescences.
These findings were also confirmed by observations of different experiments.
