Abstract
The result of the selection of Althaea officinalis plant individuals is the new variety Roussalka.
It can be characterized by an upright habitus and a yield of 1,535 kg/0.1 ha fresh root, 1,232 kg/0.1 ha fresh peeled root and an equivalent of 496 kg/0.1 ha dry peeled root.
The content of mucilagenous substances of roots amounts to 21.50%.
