Abstract
Plant cultivation through the use of hydrous nutrient solutions requires frequent quantitative control of the components of the nutrient substance.
Test methods were applied in order to determine the quantitative content of components in the nutrient substances, and their usefulness in determining the need for fertilization was demonstrated.
Research was carried out on the cultivation of lettuce and tomatoes using the NFT system as well as in the greenhouse soil.
Results of chemical analyses of nutrient substances, which were obtained through tests and conventional methods, were compared as was the cropping of fertilized plants based on these methods of analysis.
The analyses included the determination of pH, N-NO3, N-NH4, P, K, Mg, Ca, Fe, Cl.
