Abstract
Results from replicated and randomized trials using cultivars and seedling progenies in the 5th and 6th season after sowing show considerable genotypic variation of metric traits such as bulb yield, flowering time and duration of juvenile period.
Phenotypic correlations are discussed relative to the possibility of an early selection for bulb yield and forcing ability.
Some conclusions are drawn from the observation of segregating seedling populations with regard to flower colour inheritance and breeding for certain colour types.
