Abstract
Two different types of shelter are used in the North of Campine for the culture of strawberry plants: small tunnels and plastic greenhouses.

The small tunnel is 40/50 cm high, 80 cm wide, and is covered with .07/.10 mm thick polyethylene or P. V. C. under which there are two lines of strawberry plants.
Investments costs amount to 8/11 B. Fr. per metre run whilst annual costs range from 4 to 7 B. Fr. per metre run.

From 1971 on, strawberries have also been cultivated under plastic greenhouse.
Such building is 4.50 m wide, 2.25 m high, from 25 to 45 m long and covered with .15 mm thick P. E. There are from 10 to 12 lines of strawberry plants in it.
Investment costs reach 35 Fr. /m2 whereas annual costs amount to 12 Fr/m2.

Financial results appear to be sufficient to cover building-expenditures.
