Abstract
The application of 200 mg 1-1 of Figaron (5-chloroindazol-8 acetic acid ethyl ester) at the beginning of pit-hardening, greatly increases fruit size and promotes fruit colour in Maycrest, Maybelle, Armking and Catherine peach varieties.
As a consequence, the harvest time clearly can be advanced and near 70% of fruits can be picked in the first time.
These effects are not due to the fruit thinning effect but to a vegetative growth control.
