Abstract
The aim of this work was to evaluate peach water requirements in central Italy (Roma), where the climate is characterized by a rainy autumn and winter and a dry spring and summer.
Three different irrigation volumes have been compared adopting a drip irrigation system.
The trial was conducted on the nectarine Flavortop grafted on seedling rootstock and trained as palmette.
The amount of water has been calculated starting from a "class A evaporimeter" adopting the followint 3 different coefficients: 0.33; 0.66; 1.00 for the three treatments, furthermore modified by a variable coefficient.
Higher crops have been found with treatments 2 and 3 (coefficient 0.66 and 1.00 respectively) compared to treatment 1 (coefficient 0.33).
