Abstract
This work describes the floral stem development of "Graceland" and "Yellow Graceland" Chrysanthemums, grown as potted plants, treated:
- with CCC(2500 ppm) in one dose
- with CCC(2500 ppm) in two doses with a 15-day interval
- with an increase of dark period to 12,5 h by using black plastic.
The plants which were given a longer dark period showed an increase in the length of the stem in comparison with the untreated plants, and a decrease of length in those treated with CCC; one dose being more effective than two.
Neither a significant advance of the date of flowering nor a modification in the quality or quantity of the bloom was observed.
