Abstract
Histochemical determinations of IAA, peroxidase and ascorbic acid in ovaries of parthenocarpic and seeded cultivars of pear were carried out during the following developmental stages: flower bud, the opened flower and developing fruit.
At all the stages investigated the content of these substances was higher in the gynaeceum pericarp of a parthenocarpic than of a seeded cultivar.
