Abstract
The assimilates from a 14CO2-treated mid-shoot leaf of a Beurré Hardy pear tree are normally translocated to the upper part of the shoot.
Treatment of the tree with CCC changes this pattern of distribution of assimilates by inducing a sharp fall in acropetal translocation combined with a distribution of photosynthates more uniformly over all the leaves of the tree.
