Abstract
We investigated the influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) on chlorophyll content, H2O2 sucrose and total sugar concentration and some photosynthesis-related biochemical parameters in cucumber seedlings under cold stress.
Cold stress increased sugar contents in leaves.
AM, had more strong effects on most of the determined parameters.
We recorded significant alleviation of the effect of cold stress on the sugar contents in leaves, which indicates that higher carbon-sink strength was an important factor maintaining higher efficiency of photosynthesis in mycorrhizal cucumber seedlings under cold stress.
