Abstract
An indirect ELISA is described in which virus is trapped with F(ab’)2 fragments of immunoglobulin, obtained by pepsin digestion, and detected with intact immunoglobulin and a protein A-peroxidase conjugate specific for the Fc portion of the intact antibody.
The assay is especially useful for detecting heterologous reactions and for applications that do not justify the effort or expense of preparing individual virus-specific conjugates.
