An outline of current state of Romanian viticulture and vitivinicultural production

Abstract
The paper presents the main statistical parameters describing the Romanian viticulture and oenology in the present international context, analysing the evolution, tendencies, some of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Surfaces of planted vineyards for production of table grapes, wine and grape juice, types of wines, consumption, imports and exports are presented and compared for 2019-2022 period.
Vineyard surfaces in 2023 in various wine regions with the most widely autochthonous and international cultivated cultivars are also presented.
For the most known Romanian autochthonous cultivar ‘Feteasca neagra’, the evolution over the past 10 years is analysed.
