Abstract
Under the influence of the continuous growth of the global population, of current climate changes and consumer demands, obtaining new cultivars with superior characteristics to the genitors, with high ecological plasticity, better adapted to the environmental conditions it is really necessary.
The aim of the work was to study the behavior of the new cultivar for table grapes ‘Adoris’, obtained by the controlled crossing of the cultivars ‘Coarnă neagră’ × ‘Muscat de Hamburg’, in the conditions of the temperate climate of the Copou-Iaşi wine-growing center, Romania.
The studies were carried out in the period 2017-2021, the cultivar being characterized by high productivity (over 20 t ha-1), a merchandise production percentage of over 90%, good biological resistance to drought and cryptogamic diseases (under the conditions of applying the standard scheme of phytosanitary treatments). ‘Adoris’ is self-fertile, with a medium vegetation period (ripening period IV-V). The grapes are medium-sized (average value 310 g), with uniform, elliptical-shaped berries, with dark red-purple skin, intensely wrinkled.
The must is colorless and has a subtle muscat aroma.
Accumulations of sugars are average <200 g L-1), the grapes maintaining a good acidity, over 5.1 g L-1 tartaric acid, the cultivar being recommended for planting in areas with a continental temperate climate, similar to the wine-growing area of origin.
