Climate change implications on vegetative phenophases of the main grape cultivars grown at Bujoru viticulture and winemaking research facility

Abstract
Since 1966, the World Meteorological Organization established the use of “climate change” concept that includes all forms of climate variability on time scales greater than 10 years, regardless of the cause.
Bujoru viticulture and winemaking research facility, as well as the entire S-E geographical area of Romania, has been witnessing such phenomena, since 2002. The most common phenomena documented, was extreme drought manifestation.
This phenomenon has amplified in recent years due to the lack precipitation during specific growing periods of the vines and high temperatures during vegetative phenophases.
Because of climatic factors changes a phenophase advancements was observed, with obvious repercussions on quality and quantity of grapes in the main grape cultivars grown at Bujoru viticulture and winemaking research facility.
