Abstract
In most developing cuntries production areas of horticultural crops have been expanded, productivity increased and total production have been doubled or tripled.
But very little emphasis is given to post-harvest technology which is the vital sector of this industry.

To secure the additional production derived from the application of improved technology and high value inputs equal attention should be given to the post-harvest technology like that of production, processing and marketing.
