Abstract
The Horticultural and Coffee Sectors have been borrowing long, medium and short-term credits both from AIDB and International Lending Institutions.
Investigation into the credit operation of these sectors, for the reporting period 1980–1989, has revealed many useful pieces of information.
The Coffee Sector gets more credit service than the Horticulture.
The former secures a significant amount of credit from International Financial Institutions while the latter does not.
Both the Horticultural and Coffee Sectors, in general, are overburdened with Bank debts.
The Co-operative and Peasant Sub-sectors, however, show satisfactory financial performance and Debt Servicing Capacity visa-vis the State/Public Sub-sectors.
Finally, credit operations are by far more successful in the Coffee Sector than in the Horticultural Sector.
