Abstract
The work was carried out in the valleys of rivers Argun, Assa, Kambileevka, Terek on the northern macroslope of Great Caucasus and in the valleys of rivers Yori, Aragvi and its tributaries Khevsur and Pshav Aragvi, Ksani, Malaya Liakhvi on the southern macroslope.
In this region more than 2000 species of higher vascular-plants are found, above 1000 species of them maybe used by mankind, among them medicial, food, spice, vitamin, ornamental and other plants.
Over 2000 specimens of herbarium and over 500 examples of seeds and living plants were collected.
