Abstract
Microponic system which combines in vitro culture with hydroponics has been applied in mass plant production of micropropagated Chrysanthemum plants to see whether it can simplify the procedures of plant growth, rooting, acclimatization and transplant with better results comparing with the conventional in vitro system.

Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema moriforium R. ‘BongWhang’) plants multiplied by meristem culture were nodecut by 1 ˜ 1.5cm and planted in four different media – MS (Murashige and Skoog) medium, Rockwool (RW), Polyphenol resin (PPR) and Polyurethane resin (PUR).

Plants in MS medium were grown under a conventional in vitro culture conditions and plants in Rockwool, PPR and PUR were grown under the microponic system in plant factory where nutrient solutions were supplied to the substrates three times a day.
No asceptic procedures and culture vessels were needed in this system and the environment in plant factory was automatically controlled in optimum conditions.

We found that in microponic system, each procedure of propagation, rooting, acclimatization and transplant of plants can be carried out in one place with better results.
