Abstract
Considering the increasing interest in the hot pepper mainly for the fresh market, tests were made to evaluate the production, quality and storage of new released varieties.
The types tested were the cvs.
Ducale 685–75 and Bolit 95–74 together with 5 F1 hybrids.
The characters considered were: number to fruits per plant, total yield, size, weight, firmness, pericarp thickness, dry matter, ash, vitamin C, total and reducing sugars, nitrogen, petroleum extracts, capsicin content and pungency of ripe fruits.
