Abstract
The saving of fuel for heating is possible if new cultivations are located, when alternative sites are offered or considered, to areas with favourable climatic conditions as far as energy saving is concerned.
Thereby knowledge is required on the detailed climatic pattern within large areas.
Remote sensing is a possible method of obtaining such knowledge.
