Abstract
A comparison was made between four diploid cultivars (Dawuxing, Longquan No.1. Jinfeng, Zaohong No.3) of loquat [(Eriobotrya japonica (Lindl)] with their triploid seedling.
As compared to the diploid parents, triploid plants grew exuberantly producing large trees with few branches, dark green leaves with long and dense villi and notched leaf edges, and larger flowers.
