METHOD TO EXTERMINATE BLUE-GREEN ALGAE IN A LARGE POND AND TO IMPROVE PLANT GROWTH BY MICRO-NANO BUBBLES IN ACTIVATED WATER

Abstract
It is confirmed that micro bubbles can increase the value of dissolved oxygen and that of electric conductivity in water and can decrease osmotic pressure. Therefore, micro bubbles are expected to improve agricultural environments.
For an example, root rot can be prevented.
It is understood that root rot is caused when agri-cultural water with its dissolved oxygen less than 5.0 mg/L is used.
As micro bubble water can prevent soil from oxidization and increase the value of replaceable base in soil colloid, this problem can be solved by the sprinkling of micro bubble water.
Nanomizer is the equipment that produces the activated (ionized) water of micro-nano bubbles which is characterized by both increased oxidization and reduc-tion, the rupture of air bladder of blue-green algae, easier penetration into the root of plants, selective sterilization of prokaryote and so on.
Therefore, one of the useful applications of Nanomizer is the purification of aquatic environment polluted by blue-green algae.
Then, better environment for the growth of aquatic plants and microbes can be recovered.
We have established an improved method of the purification and applied it successfully to a pond of a much larger area.
For an example, blue green algae in a pond of 140 ha and 6m in depth were exterminated and intolerable bad smell previously caused by the blooming was prevented to a insensitive level when two units of 750 W Nanomizer were operated at an early stage before the blooming of the algae.
Another application is the improvement of plant growth, especially root growth.
The plants studied are ordinary heat resistant grasses used for golf courses.
High soil temperature becomes a crucial factor to cause root rot especially when it reaches over 30°C. In order to solve this problem, the activated micro-nano bubble water generated by a unit of 450 W Nanomizer was sprinkled over the field of grasses to be tested.
As the result, it was confirmed that the root growth was accelerated without the root rot.
