Abstract
Despite the fact that 6-benzylaminopurine is widely used cytokinin in a vast number of plant biotechnology applications, it also has some drawbacks for certain plants.
Therefore, a large number of its analogs were synthesized and tested in various bioassays to reduce potential negative effects.
In this mini-review, we summarize the experience on a group of modern cytokinin N9 sugar conjugates, which seem to be a suitable alternative for 6-benzylaminopurine.
