Abstract
In order to study the effects provoked by auxinic treatment on the open flowers of a cluster on the production of other trusses of the same tomato plant, a study has been carried out.
Apart from the well known favourable influence of auxin on the fruiting of the treated truss, it has been ascertained that an unfavourable indirect effect on the production of the other clusters exists, presumably because of competition for the assimilates supply.
