Abstract
The effect of several modes of heating in plastics greenhouses on pepper culture (C.V. Beldi) was studied.
For this purpose, we compared several heating systems under six plastics greenhouses (control, woody heater, air heater, solar energy collector, solar energy collector + screen, mulching polyduct filled up with water). The results indicate that minimum air and soil temperature were the highest in the solar heated greenhouse combined with the movable thermal screen.
The agronomic results showed that there was no significant differences in early yield between the solar greenhouse combined with the thermal screen and the greenhouse heated with air heater.
A lower total yield was noticed in the greenhouse heated with woody heater, and a fall down of leaves was observed.
As expected the result of early yield was confirmed in total yield.
