Abstract
Cuttings and seedlings of Cornus sericea L. were inoculated with spores of Glomus fasciculatum (Thaxter) Gerdemann and Trappe or Glomus macrocarpum Tul. and Tul. at a rate of 4 spores/cm3 of propagating medium.
Cuttings and seedlings were transplanted and grown for an additional 16 weeks after propagation.
Inoculation with both species of fungi significantly increased the growth of cuttings, while the growth of seedlings was more variable.
Inoculation during propagation results in substantial growth increases during later stages of development.
