Abstract
Following up early previous works on quantitative and qualitative (instrumental and sensory), phytosanitary, physiological, microclimatic production aspects and on production costs concerning researches on different manipulation systems of canopy, and/or of production, and/or of grapes ripening, in "new" integrated viticulture models we devised (Cargnello G. 1992c, Cargnello G. 1994b), this contribution illustrates the results of researches on "vine physiology" as regards the above mentioned manipulation systems, all this in relation to the "final" objective of the vine grower and wine producer.
The paper points out the importance of these operating systems for an increasingly exhaustive interpretation of the results from researches also on "grapevine physiology" as concerns the "final" objective of the vine grower and wine producer.
