Abstract
A methodology to preserve intravarietal heterogeneity in the phase of clonal and sanitary preselection is exposed, for a minority variety in danger of extinction: Maturana Blanca / Ribadavia.
The cluster analysis of the initial populations data allows the preselection to be made with the objective of preserving the intravarietal heterogeneity.
It has been found that the heterogeneity mentioned before is kept after the preselection by comparing the distribution of the selected vines to the ones of the initial population for each variable and by the principal component analysis of both populations.
