Abstract
Fifteen Rosa species and variants from northeast China were studied in this research.
The sequences of ITS1 of nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA) and phylogenetic relationships of those species were studied.
The results showed that the size of ITS1 of Rosa species was from 253 to 254 with a length variation of 1 bp, from all positions including 12 variable (4.7%) and 9 informative size (3.5%). Phylogram tree based on ITS1 sequences indicated that Rosa species from northeast China was clustered into three clusters.
The phylogenetic relationships of those samples was close.
ITS sequences can be used in phylogenetic and classified of Rosa species, because the genetic background of Rosa is narrow and morphology is similar.
It needs to be combined with other proof.
