Abstract
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the yield and chemical composition of tomatoes fruits of two cultivars with undeterminate growth in greenhouse conditions under the influence of fertilization method.
The following fruit quality parameters: firmness (N), soluble solids content (SSC, % Brix), tartic (TA %), malic (MA %) and citric acid (CA %), the fruit content in nitrates, potassium and calcium were also evaluated.
The experimental factors underlying it the organization scheme are: A factor tomato cultivars: Costate 21 and Stefanesti 22, B factor method of the fertilizers applying: b1- soil fertigation, b2- foliar fertilization, b3- combinated fertilization (soil and foliar). The highest yields were obtained in case of soil fertigation (5.08 kg plant-1). The soluble solid content (5.03% Brix), malic (1.67%) and citric acid (1.55%) of fruit and contents of mineral elements from soil (230 mg kg-1 nitrates, 220 mg kg-1 K) had high values at the application of fertilizers by combinated fertilization.
Nitrate content of tomato fruit did not exceed the permissible limits for greenhouse growing tomatoes.
The foliar fertilization induced the higher firmness and calcium content in tomato fruits (66.45 N, respectively 12 mg kg-1 calcium fresh matter).
