Abstract
The greenhouse effect is due to the dependancy of the transmission factor upon the wavelength of the incident radiation.
Experiments have been done that confirm the theoretically admitted results on the thermal behaviour of greenhouses.
It is also pointed out that the internal global solar irradiance is characteristic of the plastic cover.
A model based on a static description of the system is proposed.
A few results are given concerning this model.
