Abstract
Two different ‘pad and fan’ cooling systems were utilized to realize a better climate in an experimental greenhouse (84 m2); the first one consisted in a pad of 3.6 m2 of surface and working under depression, by use of an extractor, while for the second system functioning under overpressure by use of a ventilator; the pad measured only 0.6 m2.

Comparison of the results of maximum temperature, relative humidity and enthalpie under cooled greenhouse with a control greenhouse indicates that the pad and fan cooling working under surpression is the most efficient, resulting in higher relative humidity and lower temperatures.
