Abstract
The research group has determined a method of radiometric and thermal characterization of materials used in greenhouses.

The radiometric characterization (see Nisen : "Determination of the radiometric properties used in shelters") leads us to made a technical record about seventy materials used in greenhouses.
This record gives the global transmittance and reflectance for several fields of wavelenghts (visible, solar, infrared, PAR, long infrared).

On an other side, to determine the thermal properties, a program is proposed wich calculates the heat losses through simple and multiple walls used in greenhouses.
It takes into account the convection, conduction and radiation transfers and explicitely evaluates the radiation exchanges between materials with non zero transmission coefficient in the far infrared.
